Stay in touch with the people closest to you, even when they’re far away, with the Wii Speak Channel! Making use of the Wii Speak peripheral, the Wii Speak Channel connects you to other Wii users so that you can chat, share pictures and send voice messages via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

By connecting your Wii to the Internet, you can access the Wii Speak Channel whenever you like and contact registered Wii Friends for free. And because the Wii Speak accessory doesn’t require you to wear a headset as you chat, everyone in the room can get in on the conversation.

Up to four Wiis can connect for group conversations using the Wii Speak Channel, with those chatting represented on screen by a Mii of their choice (up to six people can be represented by their Miis on one Wii). As you chat, you can also take the opportunity to share your favourite photos with others; selecting them from an SD card or via the Wii Message Board before talking everyone through the image they can see on screen.

And if nobody’s answering when you try to call, simply record a voice message and send it to up to eight registered Wii Friends so they can hear your voice later. You can even attach a picture to accompany the message if it helps to get your point across!
